A friend of mine of many years had been suffering from back pain for quite a while.
She had been back and forth to the doctor, had investigations at the hospital, a spinal epidural, lots of painkillers and had always shied away from the natural therapy I kept on offering her from time to time.
Then one night I called her on the phone, only to find her holed up in bed, not being able to move because of the excruciating pain she was suffering. This time, when I suggested that she had nothing to lose by trying a round or two of Eft tapping with me over the phone, she decided to have a go.
Pain Relief With Eft
Eft therapy is something I would call, psychological acupuncture. It works by tapping wth the fingers on some of the main acupuncture points along the body’s energy meridians. The general idea is that any pain we have is linked to some kind of emotional or physical trauma we have sufferd at some time in the past which has resulted in a disruption of the energy system, a blockage in the normal flow. Eft, short for emotional freedom technique, works to release the blockages and along with the re-established free flow comes a dissolving of the pain.
Back pain isn’t something that anybody enjoys having to deal with. In fact any type of pain is never enjoyable. If anyone is suffering with back pain at the moment they may be finding it difficult to perform daily activities and exercises. It can be severely restrictive, like my friend being confined to bed.

Always remember that if you have had the pain for a while, pain is just a symptom so it is strongly recommended that you consult your doctor, as there could be something deeper to the problem. Chronic back pain often has a deeper source that needs to be discovered or diagnosed in order to help deal with the pain.
You can just treat or manage the symptoms, but if the underlying issue is not addressed there will be a greater tendency for the pain to persist or reoccur and to need continual management. Get to the source of the pain and you are more likely to experience a complete recovery.
